Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jonathan Wateridge was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,861.64) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Wateridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jungle Scene With Plane Wreck in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 389,471.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jonathan Wateridge kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.861,64) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Wateridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jungle Scene With Plane Wreck im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 313.250,00 (€ 389.471,43).
