Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Forest Pool With Wreckage by Jonathan Wateridge was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2014. The price achieved of GBP 122,500.00 (€ 156,414.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonathan Wateridge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jungle Scene With Plane Wreck, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 313,250.00 (€ 389,471.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Forest Pool With Wreckage von Jonathan Wateridge wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 122.500,00 (€ 156.414,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Wateridge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jungle Scene With Plane Wreck beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 313.250,00 (€ 389.471,43) versteigert wurde.
