Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Survival Of The Fittest by Jonathan Armigel Wade was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 446.25 (€ 507.70). Admittedly, works by Jonathan Armigel Wade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The dewpond; and Parting in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,660.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Survival Of The Fittest von Jonathan Armigel Wade im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 446,25 (€ 507,70) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jonathan Armigel Wade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The dewpond; and Parting im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.660,06).
