Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jonathan Armigel Wade could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Frustration at St Andrews changed hands for GBP 448.00 (€ 522.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jonathan Armigel Wade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The dewpond; and Parting in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,660.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jonathan Armigel Wade konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Frustration at St Andrews für GBP 448,00 (€ 522,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jonathan Armigel Wade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The dewpond; and Parting im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.660,06).
