Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Coastal settlement with eloping televisions by Jonathan Armigel Wade. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,111.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonathan Armigel Wade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The dewpond; and Parting, which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,660.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coastal settlement with eloping televisions von Jonathan Armigel Wade zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.111,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Armigel Wade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The dewpond; and Parting beobachtet, die im April 2011 für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.660,06) versteigert wurde.
