Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Jonas Mekas for USD 625.00 (€ 508.50). This price was achieved in the auction FILM at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jonas Mekas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cassis Summer, 1966 tiré du film 'Notes for Jerome No. 48' in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 2,640.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2010 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jonas Mekas für USD 625,00 (€ 508,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion FILM bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700,00 – 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jonas Mekas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cassis Summer, 1966 tiré du film 'Notes for Jerome No. 48' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.640,00.
