In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction The Collection of the Late John Appleby: A Channel Island Treasure House, which included the work Greve de Lecq, Jersey by John Young. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,924.98), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Rocque, Jersey, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 41,645.70).

Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of the Late John Appleby: A Channel Island Treasure House durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greve de Lecq, Jersey von John Young zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.924,98) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Rocque, Jersey beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 41.645,70) versteigert wurde.
