This work without title by John Young was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. It achieved a price of AUD 2,820.00 (€ 1,637.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Rocque, Jersey in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 41,645.70).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Young kam im August 2001 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 2.820,00 (€ 1.637,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Rocque, Jersey im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 41.645,70).
