Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Young could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS auction, the work Vickers Vulcan Bomber Command Flying Over Sydney, Australia changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 177.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Rocque, Jersey in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 41,645.70).
