This artwork by John William Waterhouse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2018. In the Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Flora sold for GBP 500,750.00 (€ 561,450.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John William Waterhouse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St Cecilia 'In a clear walled city on the sea, Near gilded organ pipes... ...slept St Cecily' in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 6,603,750.00 (€ 10,467,756.68).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John William Waterhouse erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
