Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by John Way was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 5,133.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Way achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work LANDSCAPE in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 78,503.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Way kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 5.133,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Way erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit LANDSCAPE im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 78.503,25).
