The work Abstraction by John Way was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The price achieved of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 68,284.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Other works by John Way have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work LANDSCAPE was auctioned for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 78,503.25).
