In November 2013 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Jacques-Henri Lartigue by John Swannell. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,406.73), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Swannell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fine Lines (Lindy Christensen and Debbie Moore) in October this year with an auction result of USD 13,970.00 (€ 13,219.15).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2013 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jacques-Henri Lartigue von John Swannell zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.406,73) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Swannell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fine Lines (Lindy Christensen and Debbie Moore) im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.970,00 (€ 13.219,15).
