Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Fine Lines by John Swannell. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,512.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Swannell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fine Lines (Lindy Christensen and Debbie Moore), which sold at auction in October this year for USD 13,970.00 (€ 13,219.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fine Lines von John Swannell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.512,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Swannell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fine Lines (Lindy Christensen and Debbie Moore) beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für USD 13.970,00 (€ 13.219,15) versteigert wurde.
