The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,272.04) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Sutton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Britannia, Westward, Lulworth and White Heather racing in Christchurch Bay with the Needles beyond, 1927 in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,424.14).
