In the Maritime Art auction, the work Endeavour and Rainbow neck and neck, The America's Cup 1934 changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,388.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by John Sutton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2005 by the work Britannia, Westward, Lulworth and White Heather racing in Christchurch Bay with the Needles beyond, 1927 at USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,424.14).
