In the ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND PRINTED BOOKS auction, the work Alice through the looking glass sold for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,591.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Admittedly, works by John Strickland Goodall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Britishthe Tennis Party; Tennis On A Summer'S Afternoon in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,169.86).
