Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Robert Henri by John Sloan. The price achieved of USD 1,211.00 (€ 1,080.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sloan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Corpus Christi Procession in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 607,500.00 (€ 574,305.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Robert Henri von John Sloan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.211,00 (€ 1.080,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sloan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Corpus Christi Procession im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 607.500,00 (€ 574.305,16).
