Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Luncheon Time by John Sargent Noble. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,341.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sargent Noble achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching the stalkers in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 136,120.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Luncheon Time von John Sargent Noble zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.341,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sargent Noble erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watching the stalkers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 136.120,69).
