Auction result well in line with expectations
The work English and gordon setters with the day's bag by John Sargent Noble was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,911.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sargent Noble achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching the stalkers in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 136,120.69).
