Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Otter Hunt On The Lowther by John Sargent Noble. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,212.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sargent Noble achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching the stalkers in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 136,120.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Otter Hunt On The Lowther von John Sargent Noble zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.212,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sargent Noble erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watching the stalkers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 136.120,69).
