This artwork by John Piper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2015. In the Prints & Multiples: First Impression auction, the work Welsh Landscape, Tretio sold for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,574.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Piper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting, 1935 in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 362,500.00 (€ 516,327.40).

In der Auktion Prints & Multiples: First Impression wurde die Arbeit Welsh Landscape, Tretio für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.574,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Piper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Painting, 1935 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 362.500,00 (€ 516.327,40).
