In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction The Country House Sale - Property of the 14th Earl of Kintore & The Collection of the Late Bernard Lyons, C.B.E., which included the work View Halloo! by John Nost Sartorius. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,717.78), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Nost Sartorius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 107,550.00 (€ 88,307.74).

Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Country House Sale - Property of the 14th Earl of Kintore & The Collection of the Late Bernard Lyons, C.B.E. durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Halloo! von John Nost Sartorius zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.717,78) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Nost Sartorius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.550,00 (€ 88.307,74).
