In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Duke Of Grafton'S Horse Whisker Victorious Over General Gower'S Horse Raphael At The Finish Of The 1815 Derby Stakes by John Nost Sartorius for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,332.94). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Nost Sartorius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 107,550.00 (€ 88,307.74).
