Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Masters Online, which included the work Baronet Winning The 1791 Oatlands Stakes In Ascot by John Nost Sartorius. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,665.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Nost Sartorius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home, which sold at auction in June 2004 for USD 107,550.00 (€ 88,307.74).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.665,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00.
