This artwork by John Nost Sartorius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April last year. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work A carriage horse with a dalmatian in a landscape sold for GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,507.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Nost Sartorius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 107,550.00 (€ 88,307.74).

In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit A carriage horse with a dalmatian in a landscape für GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.507,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Nost Sartorius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.550,00 (€ 88.307,74).
