Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work A Hunter Being Excercised By A Groom by John Nost Sartorius. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,154.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Nost Sartorius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 107,550.00 (€ 88,307.74).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Run with Mr. James Drake Brockman's hounds at Beachborough, Kent: Leaving the Kennels, Underhill, Shornecliffe; Going to Covert; Gone Away; Full Cry; The Death - Treeing the Fox; and The Return Home im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.550,00 (€ 88.307,74).
