Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work Prussia Cove, Cornwall by John Mulcaster Carrick. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,683.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Mulcaster Carrick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,247.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Prussia Cove, Cornwall von John Mulcaster Carrick zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.683,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Mulcaster Carrick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.247,26) versteigert wurde.
