The work Portrait of a Man by John Minton was worth GBP 7,040.00 (€ 8,213.55) to a buyer in July this year. This price was achieved in the auction Modern British and Irish Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Minton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jamaican Village in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 293,000.00 (€ 345,711.19).
