In May last year Christies in London held the auction The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship, which included the work The Farm Machine by John Minton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 69,300.00 (€ 81,524.85), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Minton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jamaican Village in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 293,000.00 (€ 345,711.19).

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Farm Machine von John Minton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 81.524,85) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Minton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jamaican Village im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 293.000,00 (€ 345.711,19).
