This artwork by John Minton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Figure With A Distant City sold for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,351.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Minton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jamaican Village in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 293,000.00 (€ 345,711.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Minton erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Figure With A Distant City für GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.351,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Minton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jamaican Village im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 293.000,00 (€ 345.711,19).
