Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children by the Sea by John Minton was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,079.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Minton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jamaican Village in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 293,000.00 (€ 345,711.19).

Die Arbeit Children by the Sea von John Minton kam im September 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.079,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Minton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jamaican Village im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 293.000,00 (€ 345.711,19).
