This artwork by John Milne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2011. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Project sold for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,071.85) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Milne; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vertical Form sold at auction in November 2020 with the realized price of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,252.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Milne erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Project für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.071,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Milne; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Vertical Form im November 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.252,68).
