The work Study for a statue of John Locke by John Michael Rysbrack was sold in the The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II auction at Christies in New York in January 2009. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,952.51), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Michael Rysbrack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bust Of King George Ii (1683-1760) in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 185,281.81).

Die Arbeit Study for a statue of John Locke von John Michael Rysbrack wurde im Januar 2009 in der Auktion The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.952,51) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
