Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Latham could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work Skoob changed hands for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,126.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Latham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Triptych 1954 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 100,688.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Latham konnte im Juli 2015 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Skoob für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.126,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Latham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Triptych 1954 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 100.688,02).
