Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Portrait of Faye Emerson by John Koch. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,036.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Koch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Siesta in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 596,075.00 (€ 506,263.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Faye Emerson von John Koch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.036,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Koch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Siesta im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 596.075,00 (€ 506.263,80).
