Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Fruit and Cat by John Koch was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,880.00 (€ 9,974.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Koch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Siesta in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 596,075.00 (€ 506,263.80).

Die Arbeit Still Life with Fruit and Cat von John Koch kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.880,00 (€ 9.974,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Koch erzielen.
