Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 2000 by John Kingerlee was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,203.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Kingerlee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grid Composition in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,822.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 2000 von John Kingerlee kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.203,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Kingerlee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grid Composition im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.822,67).
