The work The Harbour (Sriks Series) by John Kingerlee was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,423.46), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Kingerlee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grid Composition in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,822.67).

Die Arbeit The Harbour (Sriks Series) von John Kingerlee wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.423,46) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Kingerlee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grid Composition im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.822,67).
