Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Grid 'Country Living' by John Kingerlee. The price achieved of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,213.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Kingerlee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grid Composition in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,822.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grid 'Country Living' von John Kingerlee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.213,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Kingerlee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grid Composition im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.822,67).
