It achieved a price of EUR 4,788.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60 %. Admittedly, works by John Kingerlee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grid Composition in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,822.67).

Die Arbeit Ulysses JJ Protest Series | Série de protestations Ulysses JJ von John Kingerlee kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 4.788,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Kingerlee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grid Composition im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.822,67).
