Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Irish Art, which included the work Grid (1997 - 2005) by John Kingerlee. The price achieved of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 35,183.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by John Kingerlee have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2006 the work Grid Composition was auctioned for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,822.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grid (1997 - 2005) von John Kingerlee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 24.500,00 (€ 35.183,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von John Kingerlee konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2006 die Arbeit Grid Composition für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.822,67) versteigert.
