Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work In the harbour by John Jon-And was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 35,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 28,000.00 (€ 3,102.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Jon-And achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Slussen" (The lock, Trollhättan) in October 2012 with an auction result of SEK 480,000.00 (€ 55,823.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit In the harbour von John Jon-And im April 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 35.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 28.000,00 (€ 3.102,81) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Jon-And erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Slussen" (The lock, Trollhättan) im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 480.000,00 (€ 55.823,43).
