Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Duncton Church, Brittany by John Hitchens. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 501.90 (€ 722.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Hitchens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From Deep Shadows in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,478.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Duncton Church, Brittany von John Hitchens zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 501,90 (€ 722,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Hitchens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From Deep Shadows im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.478,06).
