In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work On The Ways by John Henry Twachtman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 26,250.00 (€ 23,517.29), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Henry Twachtman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hemlocks in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).

Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Ways von John Henry Twachtman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 26.250,00 (€ 23.517,29) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Henry Twachtman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hemlocks im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.000,00 (€ 445.997,18).
