When the work Type by John Henderson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,723.27). This high result makes Type the most expensive artwork by John Henderson that we have observed at auctions so far.
