In the A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction, the work Two ladies sitting in the corner of a studio sold for GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,074.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Hamilton Mortimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Banditti fishing, which sold at auction in January 2012 for USD 116,500.00 (€ 89,251.51).

In der Auktion A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries wurde die Arbeit Two ladies sitting in the corner of a studio für GBP 23.940,00 (€ 28.074,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Hamilton Mortimer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Banditti fishing beobachtet, die im Januar 2012 für USD 116.500,00 (€ 89.251,51) versteigert wurde.
