Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included this untitled work by John Grillo. The price achieved of USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,251.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Grillo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,795.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Grillo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.251,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Grillo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.795,58).
