The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,905.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Greenwood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Reverend John Moorhead in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 41,125.00 (€ 47,853.15).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.905,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Greenwood erzielen.
