Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work View of Mount Chocorua by John Frederick Kensett was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,562.50 (€ 72,262.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Frederick Kensett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Entrance to Newport Harbor in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,248,000.00 (€ 1,053,876.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit View of Mount Chocorua von John Frederick Kensett wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.562,50 (€ 72.262,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Frederick Kensett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Entrance to Newport Harbor im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.248.000,00 (€ 1.053.876,03).
